Special model AB 6100 fluoride ion selective sensor configuration supports strong acid cleaning to remove fouling from calcium and silicate precipitates as well as for use in strong acid fluoride etching baths even at elevated temperatures. Novel materials of construction and membrane fabrication technologies allow for operation of these ion selective sensor in aggressive process conditions which are required for heavy industrial service applications.
Industrial conductivity sensors for use up to 205 degrees Celsius and 500 psig suitable for measurements from 0.055 microSiemens and up to 2,000 milliSiemens. Applications supported include ultrapure water, strong acids, strong bases and concentrated electrolytes. Materials of construction include 316SS, Monel, Titanium, Hastelloy C-276 for electrodes and TEFLON, CPVC, KYNAR and PEEK for the insulator. Cell constants available from 0.01 to 20.0 and anywhere in between are available to optimized precision for any range of interest. All conductivity sensor configurations are available in smart digital MODBUS RTU style to interface directly with any suitable mating PLC or SCADA or else complete with ASTI supplied instrumentation such as the multichannel smart touchscreen controllers. Supported units include both the measured microSiemens/cm (μS/cm) or milliSiemens/cm (mS/cm) as well as computed units of total dissolved solids (TDS) or salinity (PSU) and resistivity units of MegaOhms (MΩ) for ultrapure water applications.
Rugged industrial dissolved oxygen (D.O.) sensors for inline, immersion & submersible, twist lock quick-disconnect, valve retractable and sanitary installations are completely insensitive to the presence of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas. Measurement ranges from 0-150 ppm & 0-1,500 percent (%) saturation supported. Ideal for continuous measurement in tough applications such as processes with abrasive slurries, high levels of organic and biological content as well as solutions with high turbidity & viscosity. Percent saturation units computed based upon the measured dissolved oxygen ppm and temperature in conjunction with the user provided air pressure and salinity. Automated calibration is performed dry in air with no standard solutions required. Sensor include waterproof NEMA 6P rated snap connectors for seamless hot-swap plug & play operation in the field after recalibration or rebuilding of cell with no operator action required in the field for sensor exchange.
Touchscreen controllers with full graphical remote access over ethernet provide a programmable universal intuitive interface for all smart digital HiQDT MODBUS RTU pH, ORP, ion selective (ISE), conductivity (EC) and dissolved oxygen (D.O.) sensors with CSA & UL agency approvals for use in Class I, Division 2 locations. Standard outputs for touchscreen controllers include isolated scalable analog 4-20mA, programmable contact relays and MODBUS TCP communications along with integral datalogging for all measured parameters as well as sensor analytics and calibrations. Explosion-Proof (EX) rated intrinsically safe controller configuration are available for use in hazardous Class I, Division 1 locations with FM, CSA, ATEX and IECEx agency approvals with isolated scalable analog 4-20mA output and programmable contact relays including TPC algorithms.
The third generation valve retraction HOT-TAP assemblies allow for insertion and removal of the sensor without shutdown or separate isolation of the process line or tank. These HOT-TAP assemblies are available for 5X31, 5X41, 5X51 & 5XX0 sensor types. Available in 316SS material of construction standard with TEFLON seals and ferrules with Viton or Kalrez O-rings ensure a secure water tight even at high temperatures (150 deg Celsius) and pressures (up to 150 psig max). Double redundant O-rings on sensors (Viton-75, CV75, Simriz 485 or Kalrez 4079) ensure leakproof seal between sensor and HOT-TAP assembly. Reducing bell stop out for sensor holder makes blow-out nearly physically impossible to ensure safety of operator in high pressure use when retracting sensor. The longevity of pH, ORP, ion selective (ISE), dissolved oxygen (DO) and conductivity sensors can be significantly elongated for some applications using our waterproofing sealing options for a variety of applications to create fully submersible assemblies without the need for an immersion tube. Installations either completely submersing the sensor or where the back of the sensor will be exposed to moisture or facility washdowns benefit greatly from these waterproofing seals in particular. Inquire to the ASTI factory to determine if a waterproofing option is required for your installation type and if required the most appropriate grade of sealing to be invoked. Standard material is polypropylene for A/B/C series and CPVC for G/H series. Special materials of construction are available for waterproofing seals upon request (MOQ may apply).
